Site Manager (UK Hotels Refurbishment & Maintenance)
Role Overview
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing refurbishment works across hotel sites throughout the UK, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The role involves managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities and materials, resolving issues, and supporting ongoing maintenance operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Site & Project Management
Manage day-to-day operations on refurbishment sites across UK hotels
Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
Monitor progress against project timelines and report on performance
Carry out regular site inspections to maintain standards
Subcontractor Management
Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors on site
Ensure all trades are completing works as required and to specification
Monitor quality, productivity, and adherence to deadlines
Enforce health & safety compliance at all times
Materials & Logistics
Oversee all materials on site, including deliveries and storage
Ensure materials are available when needed to prevent delays
Liaise with suppliers and project teams to maintain workflow
Control waste and manage site resources efficiently
Site Coordination
Ensure all subcontractors are working effectively and in line with programme
Maintain clear communication between all trades and stakeholders
Keep site operations running smoothly and efficiently
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively
Provide practical and resourceful solutions to challenges
Minimise disruption to programme timelines and hotel operations
Maintenance Support
Support ongoing maintenance across hotel sites
Work closely with Maintenance Managers to uphold site standards
Assist in coordinating and prioritising maintenance activities
Provide guidance and support to maintenance teams where required
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and site management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role
Background in refurbishment, construction, or facilities management
Knowledge of UK health & safety regulations
Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) desirable
Working Requirements
Willingness to travel across the UK
Full UK driving licence required
Flexible working hours depending on project demands
