SHE Generalist – Process and Plant Safety

Your Responsibilities:

  • Designing and conducting safety audits, including the development of improvement proposals
  • Inspecting plants and assessing technical modifications and incidents
  • Monitoring and evaluating legal regulations, including resulting obligations, and maintaining the legal register
  • Updating the Safety Report as well as the site-specific Emergency and Hazard Response Plan
  • Supporting applications and notifications under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), e.g., for projects
  • Contributing to the documentation of installations as required by the Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV) and to explosion protection documents (ATEX)
  • Conducting process risk analyses such as HAZOP/PAAG and LOPA, and providing related support to other sites

Your Profile:

  • Completed degree (e.g., Process and Plant Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or Environmental Engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in process safety, ideally also as an Incident and Emissions Control Officer (m/f/d)
  • Experience in moderating and conducting HAZOP, PAAG, LOPA etc.
  • Experience with risk‑management software (e.g., PHA‑Pro)
  • Knowledge of relevant technical and regulatory requirements (e.g., BImSchG, TA Luft, WHG)
  • Fluent German skills and very good English skills
