Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Senior Specialist
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing support and professional advice to all employees and managers regarding compliance with legal and internal requirements related to occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection (SHE)
- Contributing to the development of global SHE standards in accordance with legal and internal requirements, as part of a small team of internal and external experts
- Technical contact person as Incident and Emissions Control Officer (m/f/d), also for authorities
- Working closely with our production and technical teams, as well as planning and conducting training and instruction to promote a culture of safety
- Designing and carrying out safety audits, conducting compliance audits at various company sites, and leading risk assessments and process risk analyses such as HAZOP/PAAG and LOPA
- Preparing the Safety Report and the site-specific Emergency and Hazard Response Plan, fulfilling SHE reporting obligations, and determining SHE performance indicators
Your Profile:
- Completed technical degree (e.g., Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or Environmental Engineering) or a comparable qualification
- Additional qualification as Occupational Safety Specialist (SiFa) desirable
- Several years of professional experience in environmental and occupational safety within a chemical production environment
- Knowledge of plant safety (e.g., explosion/ fire protection) as well as relevant technical and legal regulations (e.g., BImSchG, TA Luft, WHG)
- Strong communication and moderation skills
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP knowledge, and experience with e‑reporting tools
