The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Country Managing Director and is responsible for delivery of all engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule.

The essence of the position is to reach customer satisfaction by delivering the project in due time & quality, and to improve the profitability of the project compared to the tender stage.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ MAIN ACTIVITIES :

Reporting to the Country Managing Director, you will be responsible for:

1) CUSTOMER INTERFACE

  • ●  Project quotations (issued by tendering team)
  • ●  Interface between the Customer and the project teams
  • ●  Project Meetings
  • ●  Project Reporting – Monthly report2) PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • ●  Management of a multi-cultural and multidisciplinary project team, composed of :
  • ●  project team (Planning, invoicing, receivables, document control, commissioning,etc.)
  • ●  Interface with other teams (Factories, R&D development team, local project management, local bid team, Quality, Health & Safety team)
  • ●  Interface with HQ support functions (HR, procurement, legal, finance etc.)Project execution :
  • ●  Monthly project follow up with senior management, leveraging company tools (ERP, CRM, etc…)
  • ●  Planning & scheduling of project/manufacturing activities
  • ●  Analysing gaps on project margin, defining and executing improvement actions plans
  • Contract management :
  • ●  Management and negotiation of variation orders
  • ●  Management of customers claims
  • ●  Invoicing and receivables
  • ●  Management of Early warnings (Project Risks) to customer
  • ●  Management of Sub contractors involved in project execution
  • ●  Documentation & logistics needed by projects
  • ●  Project delivery3) REPORTING
  • ●  In charge of the monthly reporting (finance, technical, risks etc.)
  • ●  In charge of piloting the steering committee for nuclear projects4) HEALTH & SAFETY
  • ●  Maintenance of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental regulations

    PROFILE

    Essential

    • ●  Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction, physics or other related field.
    • ●  Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complexconstruction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
    • ●  Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
    • ●  Knowledge and / or practitioner of Project Management with experience of applying either; APM body of knowledge and OGC’s Prince 2.
    • ●  Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery
    • ●  Multi-discipline EPCM projects
    • ●  Control of costs; risk; schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools
    • ●  Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.
    • ●  Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming and risk tools.
    • ●  Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
    • ●  Strong numerical and analytical skills.
    • ●  MS Office proficient.
    • ●  English fluent – written & verbal

    Desirable

    • ●  Nuclear experience, working within a regulated, licenced environment
    • ●  Membership of an appropriate professional institution would be an advantage
    • ●  Self-motivated & able to work on own initiative
    • ●  French language – written & verbal
