In this exciting role based in Frankfurt, you will act as a proactive business partner for the Performance Fuels business unit and as the responsible plant controller for our production site in Hamburg. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to transparency and profitability management across our product lines.

Your responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational guidance to the business unit and the Hamburg plant management on all finance-related matters

• Prepare, analyse and comment on budget, actual and forecast figures at business unitand plant level

• Ensure transparent steering and analysis of key profit components, particularly variable costs up to CM1 as well as fixed costs

• Support strategic planning and continuously monitor target achievement

• Conduct sound profitability analyses for measures, initiatives and investments

• Take responsibility for value stream analyses as well as in-depth inventory and variance analyses

• Coordinate between SAP FI and SAP CO to ensure consistent and reliable financial data

• Further develop the cost accounting methodology as well as existing controlling structures, processes and tools

• Implement new controlling and steering tools to sustainably improve transparency and decision-making quality

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, especially Production, Supply Chain and Sales

Your profile

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification

• At least five years of relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in a manufacturing environment; experience in the chemical industry is an advantage

• Very good SAP knowledge in CO / CO-PA and MM as well as good knowledge of SAP FI

• Very good knowledge of product costing, standard costing, actual costing / material ledger, cost accounting, contribution margin logic, value stream analyses and inventory controlling

• Very good Excel skills as well as basic knowledge of HGB and IFRS

• Experience with Tagetik is an advantage

• Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and precise way of working

• High level of initiative, hands-on mentality and strong communication skills

• Motivation to actively improve and further develop existing processes and structures

• Ability to present complex topics clearly and appropriately for different audiences

• Very good German and English language skills as well as willingness to travel
