Job Title: Part-Time Financial Controller

About the Role:

They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling). Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in managing their financial operations and ensuring the financial health of their growing business.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting,forecasting, and reporting.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Manage cash flow and ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures.

Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax advisors.

Work closely with their appointed accountants, ensuring seamless collaboration and smooth handling of all their accounting needs, including year-end procedures, payroll and tax compliance.

Support the Managing Director and Commercial Director with strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Contribute to the overall success of the business by providing financial insights and recommendations.

Maintain and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our QuickBooks accounting software, including tidying up existing data and implementing best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong academic background.

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
