Key Responsibilities | |||
Account Management | • To oversee the Account Management function ◦Nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with customers ◦Increasing conversion and retention rates through enhanced understanding of their technical needs and commercial goals ◦Maintaining the sales cycle ◦Driving additional product sales ◦Ensuring onboarding and offboarding adherence ◦Ensure universality of process ◦Setting targets and budgets | ||
Sales & Marketing | · To be responsible for the ongoing development of the sales and marketing strategy, including the delivery of annual and quarterly marketing and sales plans, to: o Drive lead generation activities o Identify and test new channels o Develop the social media strategy o Oversee social media and marketing content generation o Support new product development o Agree and control the marketing spend o Act as Brand guardian o To undertake annual / quarterly / monthly sales forecasting & budgeting o Evaluate and establish market pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability · Advise and work with the Board and Leadership Team to formulate future company marketing strategy, including policy, branding and budgets · Maintain traditional marketing successes while developing our digital marketing approach · Embed quality assurance processes and culture to ensure all communications and content production are of a consistently high standard · Act with autonomy to lead the sales & marketing function, encouraging innovation and creative solutions · Maintain and apply knowledge of industry developments and marketing best practice · Implement content planning for the sales and marketing function which aligns content across all channels to achieve budgets | ||
Insights | · Align all aspects of the customer journey from prospect to repeat subscriber · Ensure relevant customer/model data is provided for all required Account management and Sales and marketing initiatives · Manages the structure of the customer journey across all platforms, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and supports an easy, fast and friendly experience, aligned to and enhancing the Plimsoll brand · Ensure the function acts to represent the voice of the customer both internally and externally, and coordinates customer communications and programmes which add value and increase lifetime value of each subscriber · Ensure that new products that require Insight production are maintained at the highest level and completed on time | ||
Product & Systems Development | · Review existing systems and make recommendations about future marketing and sales system requirements needed to integrate traditional and digital marketing processes (e.g. changes to CRM) · Maximise usage/ effectiveness of existing systems and recent investments/ developments · Make recommendations about developments required to maintain existing products and input to new developments | ||
Supplier Management | Oversee management of relationships with key suppliers, including: · Marketing data suppliers · Creative agencies | ||
People & Culture | · To provide strong leadership to the sales, marketing, account management and insight function, translating the company vision and strategy into meaningful roles and objectives for all team members · To manage and develop their teams; effectively managing performance, ensuring motivated and engaged individuals, and developing the skills needed to deliver business plans · To work in the best interests of the company; working in line with the Company’s values and objectives | ||
Performance Measures: | · Achievement of quarterly and annual sales budgets · Website traffic, social media interaction and direct marketing response rates · Leads generated via content marketing strategy and brand awareness campaigns · Quality – zero error rate demonstrated in all content, communications and forums · Customer retention rates and satisfaction scores · Average order value and customer lifetime value · People management – staff engagement scores, retention rate, skills development |
