They have an experienced design, packing and shipping team ready to provide a safe, robust and cost effective solution ensuring items arrive at their destination in perfect condition every time.

They have a strong reputation for quality and good service and operate within numerous market sectors, particularly Engineering, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and military services.

Role details 

Sales

Customer visits – discuss/clarify the scope of work, measure up/confirm dimensions, timescales, packing, preservation etc.

Follow up new enquiries, suggest packing solutions, freight services and storage.

  • Ability to read engineering GA drawings.
  • Convert enquiries.
  • Ensure all information is captured to avoid further visits that may cause unnecessary delays.
  • Prompt closure of complaints and issues

General Pricing

Prepare customer quotations and email prices, generally within 24 hours, advise lead times, apply  T&C’s and carry out credit checks etc.

Project Pricing

Liaise with customer and subcontractors arranging site meetings when necessary.

Establish the required specification, price and availability for crane hire, transport, decommissioning, moving and handling, plant hire etc.)

Consult structural engineers and industry experts when required (e.g. case design, preservation and materials etc.)

Prepare a working schedule outlining manufacturing and packing lead times.

Military Packing

Prepare Services Packaging Instruction Sheets (SPIS) for submission to the MoD.

Maintain a hard copy file of completed designs and ensure our Military Packing Accreditation (MPAS) status is compliant during annual audits.

Raising works orders

Prepare cutting sheets and inventory parts within IFS.

Raise works orders and include associated drawings or sketches to assist with manufacture.

Print and issue to shopfloor.

If required, order foil barriers and any specific fixings or materials by advising company buyer.

Health and Safety

Prepare Method Statements when required for off-site working c/w RA’s and all applicable documentation.

Attend internal monthly safety meetings.

Reporting 

Provide a monthly report to the Board giving a general business overview including any significant issues, sales updates, and risks to under achieving the business plan targets.
